Cities vs. Towns
The SF Mixtape Society hosted a grand mixape swap and competition today at the Makeout Room in the Mission. I participated, didn’t win anything, but got a nice mix of music from Belfast out of the deal. Here’s my track listing.

Pedometer
My office gave out pedometers today as part of the quarterly HR newsletter. Included in the user manual:
Pedometer will not function correctly when:
- Placed in a handbag - Walking in an inconsistent pace - Shuffling or wearing sandals - Frequently stopping and starting - Playing sports other than walking - When worn in a moving vehicle
(emphasis mine).

I didn’t think parting would be such sweet sorrow, as I wasn’t too personally acquainted with the website to begin with. However, assuming it’d be my last chance, I logged on for a first and last fling with Google’s Chinese Doppelgänger. I recommend you (you) try it out; the website is a lot bouncier than the U.S. version. And I like it.
